TOBIAS FASSHAUER

Tobias Faßhauer, born in 1966, holds degrees in musicology and music theory; as a composer, arranger and trombonist, he has been working with the concert band “Zentralkapelle Berlin” for many years. He is currently a research assistant for the Bernd Alois Zimmermann Complete Edition at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. He has contributed research on Kurt Weill and Hanns Eisler and in 2024 published a book on the reception and influence of John Philip Sousa in Europe: Hands Across the Sea. John Philip Sousa und der musikalische Amerikanismus in Kontinentaleuropa.
